One of the significant projects of FPH is to organize Rural Camps in remote areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat. Eight rural camps in both the states have been successfully organised so far, where aids and appliances like single hand tricycles, wheelchairs, c.p. chairs, calipers and various artificial limbs etc. fabricated at FPH have been distributed to the needy handicapped persons free of cost, with the help of generous donors.
The cherished dream of FPH to reach the handicapped persons in remote places of India has come true in 2010 in the form of a Hostel for 20 handicapped men between the age group of 18 to 40 years. They receive vocational training in different trades at FPH for two years and after completion of training, they go back to their roots to earn their livelihood and teach many more handicapped. Trainees interested in the skills other than those prevalent in FPH have been provided with specialized training in the field of their aptitude.
